Beloved Communities

Include. Engage. Inspire.

Beloved Communities are the heartbeat of our church and have one, simple purpose: to bring people together. Doing life in community is part of our design, but healthy, meaningful relationships aren’t always easy to find. Our BC’s make life-changing relationships relevant and accessible to you.

BC’s provide an opportunity to get connected to others in our city, develop friendships, and grow in your relationship with your spiritual family.

These groups of 10-15 meet weekly all over SF in coffee shops, café’s and gyms across our city.  We’d love for you to join in.

Contact Jon Travis for more info and to get connected!

FAQ

WHAT HAPPENS AT BELOVED COMMUNITY?

You’ve probably seen BC’S meeting and not even realized it. A BC looks like friends at lunch, teams playing basketball, or people studying a book or topic of interest.

A Beloved Community is less about what you do and more about who you do it with. When you engage in a BC, you can expect to connect with others through a common activity, engage in an inspiring conversation and request prayer.  We always have fun when we come together.

HOW OFTEN DOES A BC MEET?

Our BC’s  meet throughout the year. Some groups meet once a week and others meet once or twice a month. BC’s bring meaning and community into the rhythm of your life, so even if you can’t attend every meeting, there is still value in engaging a group.

WHERE DO BELOVED COMMUNITIES MEET?

BC’s happen all over the city of San Francisco.

HOW LONG DOES A TYPICAL BELOVED COMMUNITY STAY TOGETHER?

Most BC’s meet for season. This way, new people can join groups easily and regularly. As relationships form, some BC’s choose to stay together for a year or two, but new members are always welcome.

IS THERE CHILDCARE AVAILABLE?

Childcare varies in each BC. The group profile will indicate if childcare is available.

WHAT IF I DON’T LIKE THE FIRST GROUP I TRY?

Our experience is that not everyone will find the best fit with the first group they try. Because we have such a variety of BC’s, you may even try out a couple different groups before choosing the best one for you. We believe there is a group that is right for you!
